Guest guest
Hi all, This is my first post to this group but have been reading all your posts for some time in an attempt to sort myself out.... but before my question, a bit of background info...I am 54 years of age, had my thyroid removed 8 years ago due to a goitre which had been increasing in size for some 12 years, I was monitored annually on the local hospital thyroid register and due to the size it got to me and it had to part company...So for the next 7 years I was on LevoT with lots of problems, pains in joints, fatigue, increase in weight etc etc, then about a year ago I found the TPA UK and read up about NDT, (Natural Dessicated Thyroid - Erfa) so in January this year I started taking Nutri Adrenal Extra (NAX) to support my adrenals, then a week later started with the NDT and various recommended supplements like Selenium, Calcuim, Magnesium, Vit C, Zinc, Vit B, etc..I am taking ron supplements 2 x 50 mgs a day - been taking these for about a month now - when I went back to the UK last October I got some bloods drawn and my iron was low then.....I have also suffered for many years with pain in my left breast, had various scans, mammos etc but totally clear, Dr P suggests Iodine protocol for breast pain in the form of Sea Kelp, so I got some and been on them for about 2 months - 1 tab with food 3 x daily and the pain is virtually gone - wonderful...Within a couple of weeks the pains had all gone, the weight has come off - I have lost 54 lbs to date since 1st Jan and am getting my life back - brilliant.I have gradually worked up to 3.1/4 grains a day and feel overall really good BUT there is just one little issue that I still need to get sorted...When standing I can feel an 'internal shakiness' not severe that I would collapse or anything like that but a slight wobblyness, when I am sitting that feeling is not present.... I would like to find out what it is, having read the posts of here could it be due to T3 pooling? If so how do I find out for sure? how do I sort it?I live in Thailand on a tiny island and we just cannot afford doctors or tests here they are just far too exp - I have been self treating with the NDT etc.I have not had any blood work done since last October but we are planning to return back to the UK in the next 4-6 weeks at which time I can start to get some tests done and find out what is happening now I'm on NDTAny advice or suggestions would be most welcome, thank you Carol K in ThailandTo: RT3_T3 From: coolisjo@...Date: Sun, 22 Aug 2010 03:40:45 +0000Subject: Re: What are the physical sypmtoms of pooling? / Vit D Okay, that means Im pooling! Will reduce my t3 dose and up my cortisol, I think. I had the feeling I was going up too fast anyway. > > > > > > > > > > >I find out the results of my vitamin D test in two weeks. Get some other results back then. I was on vitamin D for a little while, not sure why the doctor didnt just repeat my prescription. Sigh. I feel like Im battling my health and a crappy healthcare system. > > > > > > > > > > Vitamin D is cheap and available in decent doses without prescription. > > > > > > > > > > Several of us take the Pilgrims 5000 IU soft gells. > > > > > > > > > > Nick > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
