Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm back. Thanks again for all your replies on whether I should take the HPT or not. I felt so much more at ease. Thought you might like to hear the report of how it went... It took about 5 minutes for the procedure (with about 10 minutes before and after for prep and clean-up), and it didn't hurt much at all. The right side of the uterus and the tube was fine, unblocked, but for some reason the dr. couldn't get the dye to go into the other side of the uterus, so we have no idea about that. He suggested maybe trying again later, with an hysteroscope to help maneuver the catheter, but did say I can definitely get pregnant with just one tube. So, as of yet, we only know half the story, and unless I try another doctor, we have to wait another couple of weeks to see my ob-gyn and find out what she's going to suggest we do next. I really was hoping for better. I have an appointment with an RE (Dr. Kolp) in September, but her office is an hour-plus trip, so I may try to find someone at one of the teaching hospitals in DC before that. At least part of the news was good! DH and I are speculating that maybe this means I have a septum or a UD, but we just have no idea. I do just have one cervix, but the dye didn't travel at all. I know some of you were misdiagnosed as UU by HSG, and I'm going to try to find those posts in the archives to see how that went. Does anyone out there think our guess is correct? a 33, BU/SU/UD???
