Hey!

I am new here and would like some input as to what to do next.

I am on 62.5 mcg of Synthroid which had been working okay until recently.

I get this dose from spiltting a 125mcg pill.

My concern is that my TSH is rising, I'm tired in the afternoons.

I have been unable to get to my goal weight of 138 since I started with

perimenopausal symptoms (irregular cycles) over a year ago.

Most importantly... sleep is punctuated by foot cramps nightly or trips to the

restroom to pee.

This occurs anywhere from 2 -8 times a nite.

The weird thing... I'm not tired when I get up even after dancing around my bed

all nite... I just pop out of bed in the morning.

My most recent labs:

TSH 2.89

Free T4 is 1.41 ng.dl (ref range .82- 1.77)

Free T3 is 2.4 pg/ml (ref range 2.0-4.4) first time in over a year its not been

flagged at under the reference range

Reverse T3 is 288 pg/ml (ref range 90-350)

TPO antibodies down now to 5. YAY!

TgAB at 89.

Weight 147

So why my TSH is 2.89 when my Free T4 is at 1.41?

The TSH used to be in the 1.8 range when my Free T4 was that high. is it the

rT3?

Why is my body is creating what I believe to be a lot of rT3 and very little

freeT3? To protect my adrenals? Or because of lessened sex hormones as a result

of perimenopause? Am I just not coverting well peripherally? Or all of the

above?

I would appreciate advice on how to proceed.

thx

Mzz
