Ever had Uterine 'sounding' ?

Hi,

Just curious to see if anyone with a MA has ever had their uterus

" sounded " after a resection?

My resection was two weeks ago. From what I understand, the sounding

may be similar in purpose to the post-op balloon - my doc says he uses

a blunt instrument (I'm guessing ultrasound-ish) against the area

where the septum was removed, I suspect to keep it from re-growning.

I'm supposed to have this done in about 2 weeks.

I asked him if it would be painful and he said I might want to take a

few advil before the appointment... is this procedure routine after

lap/hyst/resection?
