Guest guest
- I had a lap/hyst last year and like the other responders, it was covered based on my insurance plan's guidelines. My plan is 80/20 so we paid the 20% which amounted to a few hundred dollars (maybe 2-300....I don't remember exactly). I am BU so I didn't have the resection but the RE who performed the procedure did use the diagnostic code " birth defect " or " congenital anomoly " to differentiate it from infertility & insurance covered their part. I asked for estimates before the procedure from the staff and my insurance company. When the bill did come, I wasn't shocked. Good luck! Jen D.
