Guest guest
Hi Amber, Well I thought I would be pregnant by now...I told myself I wanted children before 35 but here I am..... Not sure why the IVF didn't take...the nurse said my cycle was perfect and ended up with a perfect 5 day blast but still a negative...that why I did it a second time thinking it was just a fluke....but still negative... The Dr said he removed the partial septum but I'm still BU??? (the surgery pics doesnt show a dip at the top of my uterus) also I have 2 copies of the MTHFR gene. I've done a lot of research on immunology and I've read that with that MTHFR genes and after having several m/c causes a body to make antibodies and you will usually have failed IVF's....I bought a book (miscarriages what every woman should know) havent read it yet, just skipped through, but it has some important things in there.. With the MTHFR gene I now am taking B6, B12, folic acid, baby asprin, prenatal and will be doing Lovenox so hopefully this time if I get pregnant it will stay. The Mock Embryo transfer is where the do a ultrasound and pass a catheter into you using saline....it determines where they will place the embryo on the real transfer day. I also thought IVF was easy and you would get pregnant on the first time...WRONG....I was on this IVF group and many women have done it 5 or more times...one woman did IUI 7 times. Everyone is different...I dont want to discourage you...hey you might be the one who get pregnant on the first time...some have....just want you to go into with a open mind....I was so sure this would work...when the nurse called me with the results I was CRUSHED...i cried for days....its emotional draining. There is a great IVF yahoo group....just go to the group section and type IVF. I'm no longer with that group but if you need help I'll gladly help you find it. Best of luck amber jason amberjason32@...> wrote: Thank you so much. That is very helpful. I am sorry that you started IVF at 32 and could not get preg. It's good that your septum is removed now. Hopefully that will help you at 35 years. I don't know how strong I would be if I was still trying in a few years, which could happen I guess. How do you feel about that? 1) It's interesting that you could not get pregnat on IVF. I wonder if this was because of the septum? I also have a septum/wall down the middle of my uterus that is the wall to a rudimentary horn. I wonder what the blood supply would be like? Could this effect embyro transfer? I guess I won't know until I try. 2) I didn't know about the " mock embroy transfer " . I have heard of people getting pregnant with one try on IVF - would that be in addition to the " mock transfer " ? 3) Are there any IVF forums for MAs? Would you recommend an IVF Forum to me? Thanks so much. Amber --- susan_thomas6@...> wrote: > Hi Amber, > > My story: after getting pregnant 4 times naturally > and m/c my obg/yn referred me to a RE. Guest guest
Thanks for your response. Much appreciated. You and Gabi have been so helpful. I might check out the IVF Group that you mention.
