Guest guest
< > I had a complete SU & lost my first son to incompetent cervix at 19 weeks. I felt low, period-type cramps, the sac prolapsed, and then I went into labor, with pains 3 minutes apart. It all happened within the space of two hours. Unpregnant, my cervix measured 3.5 cm. For my second son, the SU was partialy corrected and I had a cerclage. My pregnant cervix averaged 4½ cm. before the cerclage was put in and tended to stay that way for as long as we measured it. I had no PTL, but the cerclage made my uterus irritable. d him to 37 weeks, though. Your cervix does seem a tad on the short side, so it's good to have it checked frequently and regularly. Most cervices with your measurement do just fine, but better safe than sorry, right? Best of luck, Beth SU resected x 2 Teddy 12/3/
