Guest guest
>>ANyone else with this insulin resi. and taking meds for it? Hi, Rhonda. I've been more of a lurker on this board than a participant lately. But I just wanted to say YES to your question. I was diagnosed as being insulin resistant (I have PCOS) prior to finding out about my septum. I ended up pg before I started taking metformin (the med for insulin resistance) and sadly that ended in m/c but that's when I found out about my septum. I had the resection and with my next cycle after getting the green light to TTC I began taking metformin. And much to our surprise and delight - we conceived on the same cycle. Granted, it was cd28, but who cares. I now have a 2-1/2 month old DD. In my opinion, met is a miracle drug!! I will definitely be taking it again when we ttc #2. I just want to give you some reassurance as well. I too have a slight dip, the dr said " it isn't perfect " but its definitely much more roomier than before the resection. I carried my DD to 38 weeks and never had an IC issues. Good luck on your journey TTC.
