Guest guest
This is somewhat outside my own experience, but here's my two cents: temps that keep dropping below normal may indicate a need to increase T3. Moderator Nick's web page " Do I Need To Increase? " says " Your target is an average temperature of 98.6F " , from: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/doineed.htm It makes sense to me that this is true whether pre- or post-clearance. I do not think there is a specific time span to become optimally dosed, I feel it is more a process of inching up until hypo symptoms are relieved and temperatures stay closer to target. Nick's website mentions post-clearance adjustment; " You will be going through the dose finding process again " , from: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Pooling is a possibility; if it were me I'd have my FT3 tested to see if it was too high (If I remember correctly, Val feels best with hers around 6.2.) But it seems less likely that you'd see the temperature increases you report if you were pooling; the temp increases instead look to me like you are utilizing the T3. You probably already know this, but it's worth mentioning how important it is to watch temperature stability/adrenal status, and also ensure your iron is adequate (ferritin 70-90, % saturation 35-45). See Nick's web page: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm I feel these are also important both pre- and post-clearance. > > > > Dry mouth has several possible causes. I had it years ago as a side effect from a medication I was on (mine was not thyroid-related). It went away after I discontinued the medication. > > > > Here are some links to info about it: > > http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/dry_mouth.htm > > http://www.webmd.com/oral-health/guide/dental-health-dry-mouth > > > > Hope this helps. > > > > >
