Guest guest Posted November 5, 2005 Report Share Posted November 5, 2005 CREAMY CHIVE DRESSING 1/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon minced shallot 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives 1 packet Splenda 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest Whisk together all dressing ingredients in a large bowl. ~ * ~ * ~ this recipe is a minor variation on a recipe from Gourmet, May 2003. such a simple and wonderful recipe!! since my dairy issue i've left out the yogurt and made an emulsion out of it by adding 1/4 cup of water and an egg yolk; i can easily send that recipe variation to whoever wants it. it's also very accepting of any spices you want to add. grating the shallot instead of mincing it is easy and makes the dressing less chunky; using a food prcessor helps as well. mods: is this okay to put in files, if it's properly attributed?
