I'm going to have to leave the list for a while. I haven't been able

to participate much lately anyway. I need to focus on a major funding

application at work. The NIH budget is very tight right now and

competition is fierce.

Keep at it and you'll get where you're going.

That's too bad! Although I didn't get a chance to read too many of your posts,

the one you

just made for me was most helpful. I can feel okay about measuring and

recording

numbers in terms of my own exercising now, because if I don't lose enough, I can

exercise

a little more, or increase the challenge a little. I can be more precise. It I

look at it as

" science, " it isn't as scary as considering it " routine, " plus I can read while

I ride!

(Care to say what your NIH project is . . . I'm probably not the only one who's

curious.)
