Guest guest
LOL! I was in that same situation! was 18 lbs at 3 mos, 23 lbs at 6 mos, 28lbs at 1 yr! He's just a big boy (and tall too, so he's not incredibly chunky!) Guest guest
è Message: 11 Date: Sun, 16 Jun 2002 13:22:30 è +0930 From: " Pym " è blackheath@...> Subject: Indigestion è Are there any other people here that can't get a è diagnosis, but stay on this list because your instincts è are telling you that you have pancreatitis? I cannot get è the guts to say to the doctors 'I think I have è pancreatitis'. We do talk about pancreas problems but è they will not do an ERCP until blood tests show I have è raised levels. ERCP's seem to be scarce in Aus. è Also, does anyone get when the pain is more severe, è the feeling like they've swallowed a rock and it's stuck è in the chest? I've had that for 2 weeks now. The doc è gave me Losec (prescription stomach acid reducer) but è it's not doing a thing. I'm worried. Dear , I still don't have a firm diagnosis of pancreatitis even though I have ALL the symptoms and lost the ability to digest fat in 2000 and have to take digestive enzymes. I can't tolerate fat...... the nausea... the diarrhea... the steat... the pain... Instead my GI preferred to call me his " Mystery Woman " rather than " stick his neck out " and give me a diagnosis...... My old family doc I am just returning to after 5 years in Texas don't know as much about pancreatitis and he believes I have it..... Plus I have all kinds of risk factors for getting it. Very possible it was hereditary (think I had my 1st attack at 8-9 yrs old) - mother had gall bladder problems, I had gall bladder problesm, I had blocked ducts, I had surgery on my stomac, I drank socially. All these thing could have been the cause. Even after the ERCP couldn't get a diagnosis. Why?? I was told it was because my enzymes levels had never been recorded as elevated, they can say for sure. Well, I never went to the ER with an attack. And it wasn't suspected until I could no longer digest fat. If my pancrease has quit working that much - my leveles will never be elevated. So I was left with all the symptoms and no firm diagnosis....... It is so FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!! Can understand what you are going through. Lots of Gentle Hugs, ReeAnn ReeAnn M. Betts ReeAnn@...
