Shocking Makes you wonder why some people bother having kids at all with that sort of attitude. Still, she may have had many sleepless nights and have all manner of personal problems to contend with, which may be why she was stressed, so maybe we shouldnt be too judgmental. There has been lots of stressful times with my DS when I have felt like swearing in the street!! ))

Definitely agree with this. I used to wonder why people had their kids up really late at night pushing them round town and then I discovered travelling long haul with a baby and how you find yourself wide awake in a strange city at 3am with a 2yo that's also wide awake and a husband that's fast asleep and you just need to get out! -- Sue

And I remember saying to a friend who regularly went on holiday without her children 'Oh I didn't have children so that I could go away and leave them with someone else' Then last October DH and I took our first holiday without them and there has been no stopping me since. I feel so much better for a few days away from the children - they have a fantastic time with relatives and we enjoy each other far more when we get back together... And I did apologise to my friend for being so judgmental!

I know I was being judgmental - can't help myself sometimes - I just felt so sorry for the poor little mite on the receiving end. Guest guest
Nikki, Sorry to hear about your diagnoses. I have always been irregular. My diet never contained much fiber and frankly increases in fiber don't seem to make much of a difference for me. Anyway being on SB pushing three months now has not made a difference in regularity to this point. In fact I have more cramping and abdominal pain. Go figure. I can only hope that the cramping is my system correcting itself. Anyway, I willl be seeing my PCP in January for an elective surgery checkup and I will discuss it with him. I think he is a good doctor, but medicine is not an exact science. They can only do so much. And every person and their body has the potential to react differently. So, again I can only hope that my system is correcting itself. I hope the same for you. > > Well, folks...I spent 9 hours in the emergency room with abdominal pains and fever yesterday, and after 2 sonograms and a CT scan, guess what I was diagnosed with? Diverticultis. > > How odd, considering I've been Beach-ing religiously for 4 months, eating TONS of fiber, and have never had a problem like this before. I am really disheartened by this news, thinking I'm eating so healthfully and then being told I " must not be eating enough fiber " . > > Has anyone else had a problem with this, and could there be any other causes than not eating enough fiber?
