For all you folks who are trying to calculate how many fat grams you're eating

each day,

I've found a website that -- once you get used to it -- is really easy to use

and shows you

on a pie chart just what percentages of what you're eating. It's really cool:

fitday.com.

You can add in exercise, too, and subtract exercise calories from total

calories, if that's

your thing. But don't really use the miscellaneous or general " food search. "

That's a real

pain to use. When you search for a food, do it by food type. You'll go nuts

trying to do a

random search (unless it's for something like " water, " and even then . . . )...

But it gives

you calories for things and fat content. I've entered in all the things I

normally eat by now

in the " custom foods " section, just to make it easy.... I usually have

breakfasts that are

high on protein to keep me going through the day, and as i go i add more carbs

and fats

and things until the proportions are more or less right by the time I go to bed.

You follks

all sound like you know a whole lot more about foods than I did when I started

losing

weight, but for me, it was really interesting to see how much fat there was in

some foods

where I never would have expected it to be.... and protein, too! Amazing. I

know that all

you have to do is look at nutrition labels, but the pie chart helped me

visualize the

proportions of what I was consuming overall. Anyway, thought I'd mention it.
