Guest guest
Anne, I have used Fitday since my first day on SBD. Some people here never look at how much they eat and they do fine. But, I figure with my being unable to exercise, I need to watch how much I eat. Like I said, I try to stick to around 1200. But, I don't get nuts if I go over once in a while. ann >> Looks like you three (Chuck, Chuck's wife, and ), are four, five, and 11 years > younger than I am, respectively, and MY big sin, here, over the past several weeks, was > being worried that in SIMPLY eating as per P1, without ALSO doing some portion control, > or points control, or --something-- that I MIGHT -- might --gain. >
Guest guest
Right, ann -- I remember you suggested I might try that. I had been using it before I came, but let it go amid the various remarks being made that I was overthinking and watching the numbers too closely. (I know part or the whole appeal of SBD is that you CAN lose the numbers and let the diet do the work . . . and that's probably fine for people in their 40s and younger.) I do plan to go back to P1 today -- if we get to the store, here in the Boston area . . . .and I hope we do. We were busy working the first day, and yesterday there was too much snow and I sort of spent the day catching up on sleep. So far, today, I've been good -- but need to start eating the right stuff again. Started back on exercise this morning, and, will resume P1 as soon as I get to the store. Thanks for the reminder and the nudge! With my BMI supposedly around 1346, I should lose at 1200, which is where I'd been keeping my calorie count prior to SBD. But it wasn't happening. We'll see what happens with these foods. And, I must add that I am lucky in that I CAN exercise. (I take nothing for granted.) I don't know how old you are, but age DOES slow things down, ALSO, as so aptly pointed out. I hate to admit the age thing, and OF COURSE I am QUITE CERTAIN that I look so young that NO one EVER would suspect the truth if I didn't TELL them ( ;-) ) .
