If your child shows immunity to the first round of shots (via: blood titer test) , you can get off from having them re-vaccinated with the boosters. >> But what if your kid doesn't show the immunity? As I was saying, what if your child doesn't show the immunity? Or why should the child even have to have their blood drawn to find out? There is a debate about vaccines yet somehow I have missed the information that children used to be given this booster at age 12. Why isn't there a clear, simple message like this one from the anti-vaccine people? The MMR vaccination was changed for the convenience of the Dept of Ed or whoever. I won't be a maverick by not vaccinating my child at age 5 or putting my child at risk to disease if I wait a few years. I just don't understand why this isn't clearer for parents. I am fortunate that I am exposed to info like the titer test but many parents are not. Please understand. I am completely aware of how to avoid the MMR for . My issue is with the fact that some information is not clearly being communicated by our organized groups. Barb
Guest guest
Then I guess you get religious! :c) Actually I'm really kidding as it's also scary to think your kid doesn't have immunity. A total catch-22! JoAnne BarbStrate@... wrote: > > > << Yes, this is what I was referring to, also.
