Guest guest
Well, let me say that Monterrey was an experience! If I try to tell the whole story here, it will take forever. I will attempt it another time..... Let me just say that the hospital is not the pretty one they show on the ILOST webpage and the nurses do not treat you special because you are american..... I was left in the recovery room for several hours and only taken to my room when I finally screamed at someone, they wouldn't give me my pain medication unless I BEGGED and lets just say I remember the breathing tube coming out of my nose. Yadda yadda yadda. Not to mention the taxi drivers! But on a lighter note, I am now officially a bandster!!!! I had to have my stitches on the outside (the non-dissolvable kind) because I have had reactions to stitches before. Dr. Rumbaut (cutie) looked at the wounds yesterday and said they were fine, but since then a couple of them have gotten a bit red and puffy, no goo but just red and puffy and a little sensitive. Is this normal? Anyone? I figure most of you had inside stitches and steri strips so maybe no one knows. I met with both Deb and down there and we had breakfast this morning, all 3 of us were pretty out of it. got pictures of himself and I with Dr. Rumbaut. It was pretty nice to have them there because they gave my mom something to do and I was about to slap her by this morning after all that time with her! It is like traveling with rainman. She has to check for her tickets every 5 minutes (not exaggerating) and be at the airport 2 hours early..... Anyway, if anyone has any questions about Monterrey, my boss is off next week!
