Guest guest
Debi, Ammonia is not harmful to the immune system. That is what makes people sick with diseases like fibro, when products are harmful to the immune system. To handle the possibility of temporary respiratory problems, you can just open a window when using it. Since the ammonia is only recommended to be used on glass, there is no chance of getting it mixed with bleach, since bleach is not used on glass. ann > > Ammonia is very harmful. First it's a poisen. when it's in window cleaner it's in a fine mist and can settle on the surface of your eyes and cause problems it is also easily inhaled when in a mist form and causes many respitory problems. Also if there is any residue of ANY product containing bleach it can cause caustic deadly fumes. Bleach in the bathroom can cause the same deadly gases if mixed with ammonia. This includes cleaning up pet urine or if there is urine residue in the toilet and you pour in bleach it can cause the same toxic fumes. I have many case studies and newspaper articles on ammonia and bleach. One a guy was cleaning his bathroom and the fumes not only killed him but the paramedics who came in had to go the the hospital because of the fumes when they entered the house. I recently got an article on a husband trying to kill his wife who use the combo of those two things and left her in the bathroom to die. Problem is some cleaners contain one or the other > and you may not know. There are not the same regulations on household cleaners used in the home as the ones used at work. OSHA protects worker but (this is scary) The law says ANY product used IN THE HOME can be EXEMPT from label compliance and they don't have to tell us what's in it. That's why I teach this subject so many people just don't know.
