Guest guest
You would think they'd be everywhere on the internet & I haven't found one that doesn't involve a good starter (or sugar or regular flour). I don't have a bread machine, so I need something I can make the old fashioned way. Isn't there a recipe for bread with just whole wheat flour & yeast (without all the things I've never heard of, that'll send me off to the health food store?) I swear I had one at one time... Thanks in advance if anyone has anything
Guest guest
If you have the orange South Beach cookbook, there's one in there. It doesn't rise quite as high as my white bread (made with regular flour and sugar!) does, but it's very tasty, my kids even eat it. The ingredients are whole wheat flour, a little gluten flour (which is very easy to find, mine is Bob's Red Mill, found in the natural section of the groc. store), water, olive oil, salt, Splenda, yeast, and nuts (I use walnut chips, but I can't remember what the recipe calls for). If you don't have the orange cookbook, let me know - I will email you the recipe, but don't feel comfortable posting it, since it's copyrighted. Although maybe I can post it anyway, since I use different nuts and less Splenda.. therefore making it my own recipe, LOL!
