Guest guest
Thanks Penny for the info on what I am eating. I'm sure glad that there are people on here who have checked foods out. And I am getting decaf coffee today, so all my caffeine will be cut out. And I was HAD to peek at a stix today, it was between the first lite purple and the next one! I am in ketosis! Oh my report on my recipe for " French Vanilla " coffee creamer. It was SCRUMPTIOUS!! If I sound like a coffee freak, I am not. I only drink one cup a day, and only for the past 5 years. I used heavy cream, a drop of vanilla extract and a pack of Nutra Sweet, til my Splenda gets in. -- Mare mailto:meiwei@... Guest guest
Oh, I don't know. I got a e-mail a little while ago that was supposed to be from some girl whose boyfriend was selling gum that keeps you from tasting the sugar in foods. I'm pretty sure that was spam. On another list I was on we were spammed by some one linked to a site selling herbal sweeteners. Then on list we started getting x-rated messages directing us to a porn site! Fact is anyone can join a list and start sending messages hyping a product. The trouble is it makes suggesting a site that you have found helpful suspect. Oh well. June -- Re: SplendaDate: Thu, 24 Jul 2003 21:57:44 +1000Ok, I know we've just been spammed, but I'm curious: has anyonetried splenda and how is it?I've seen several new sweeteners around, and I wonder what'sthe low down? I'm familiar with saccharin and aspartame (phenylalanine).I avoid both of them...What are these new things, and are there known negatives?thanks much,Elissa Splenda for those of you that like sweets you can find good recipes here. http://www.splenda.com/ ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here_________________________________________________________________STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
thanks, i sure wish there was an easier way. Jackie RE: Re: Splenda To figure out how many points you have in a certain recipe you need to figure out the total calories, then fat and fiber for the whole thing then divide it by the number of servings. i.e.: say there were 3 ingredients 1 has 240 cal. 2 fat and 1 fiber, the next has 100 cal 0 fat and 3 fiber, the last has 50 cal 1 fat and 0 fiber. You would have 390 calories, 3 fat, 4 fiber. Now that makes 4 servings so you would divide each number by 4. 98 cal, 1fat, and 1 fiber. Then you would run that on your slide. hope that helps. Guest guest
thanks Lori, I sure will and hope i get some good ideas from you all. we all need all the help we can get. Jackie Re: Splenda Ok, I know we've just been spammedWhat are you talking about??? That is the whole purpose of this group!! To give helpful information! Thanks much for the info. Jackie! I really appreciate it! And PLEASE don't stop posting things like this! These are the kinds of posts we NEED! Lori
Guest guest
Elissa, Ok I am sorry too but can we just drop this. We are supposed to be here for one another and not arguing. I love this group and really don't need to feel uncomfortable being part of it. I hate arguing so again I am sorry your feelings were hurt. My post was written before your apology so again let's please drop this and move on. Roxie Hi Roxie, Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm convinced you completely misunderstood my whole post. I was never criticising someone for "spamming". I accidently thought it was spam and said "I know this is spam, but..." as a way to apologise in advance to the list because I was asking further questions about the product. (I.e., had it been an advertisement, as I believed, it would have been bad form to start a conversation about it.) I cannot be responsible for the fact that people sometimes say things that inadvertantly hurt someone's feelings. I inadvertantly did that. And I apologised. (And I meant it sincerely, and still do). It was never my intention. I'm here to support, and to be supported. I have no bones to pick with anyone. I'd be much happier if, in turn, someone would accept my apology, and if you would be aware that you kinda hurt my feelings as well. Basically, the places we all are sensitive are the places that we need to heal. They're good pointers to unresolved issues. They're learning experiences. - Elissa
Guest guest
Peggy... I'm a big fan of diet Ice Botanicals... love the key lime and peach/passion. I drink these and Fruit2o on a daily basis and they are fine. I understand that Splenda is a better option for us than aspartame or saccharine.
