Hi Ann, My very best friend, soulmate, partner is Cancerian. We have some

fairly fiery moments but all in all, get on very well!!! So opposite to

each other! I am on the go with many different projects, hate being stuck

or confined, whereas Cancerians are real home bodies! Are you typical of a

cancerian? They are such caring people.

How is your band going? Are you feeling better tonight? Have you tried the

cloud therapy yet, or are you on the wine therapy? Hope it is helping,

whichever one you choose.

I think I need another fill. I find I am eating more than a cup and am

getting hungry within an hour and a half of eating. Only 2 weeks post fill,

but then only a ml in the band.

Hope all is well, take care and love

One problem I have is no cooperation. My mom cooks because she has nothing else

to do and enjoys it. But she would never think that was an ok dinner sure the

roast would be ok if she cooked it in a crockpot with a can of high fat high

sodium soup but she would have to have mashed potatoes and flour gravy with it

as well as hot rolls in the oven and maybe some veggies smothered in butter and

salt. Even if I make spaghettie with squash and no sug sauce for me she will

still make hot garlic bread for to go with their regular spaghetti and fried

potatoes and more than likely a box of brownies. It's just so hard.when

everyone else is eating something so good and I smell it all cooking.

make pork tenderloin,

zucchini and a salad, that's what my family eats. If I know someone

doesn't like zucchini, I might just give them canned fruit or

applesauce or leftover broccoli from the night before instead of the

zucchini, but they basically still eat the same meal as me.

Say you made pork tenderloin, zucchini and a salad. If your child

hates zucchini but loves canned mac and cheesee, you can just open a

can of macaroni and cheese for her to go along with the meat and

salad.

Sometimes, I make a main dish that my family members don't like. For

instance, my hubby doesn't like eggplant parm, but my daughter and I

do. So, I only make it occasionally, and my hubby fixes himself a

sandwich or heats up leftovers. My daughter hates fish, so when I make

it for my hubby and me, she makes some Ramen Pride noodles or she has

leftovers from the night before. Sometimes, she will just eat the side

dishes and skip the fish, adding some cheese or lunchmeat in place of

it.

But, for the most part, I just make a meat and veggies that everyone

likes, since it's very easy to do that on SBD. Same with when I make

soup, stews, casseroles. They just eat what I eat, since it's not like

we eat strange foods on SBD.

Wow, you are very inspiring to me. Thank you so much for telling me

your story. I will definitely keep you in mind when I get down. I'm

still working on finishing the book and haven't " officially " started the

diet yet but I AM anxious!

Re: Dawn's Introduction

Hi Dawn,

I'm ann from NJ. I started SBD 8 months ago and have 57 lbs off

so far. I actually lost 10 lbs before SBD, so counting that, I really

have 67 lbs off. I'm on meds that cause weight gain, too, plus I am a

wheelchair user and can't really exercise, but I've lost all this

weight anyway, so it can be done.
