Guest guest
Hi, How are you making your Alfredo sauce? Are you using a lowfat cut of roast? The Splenda shouldn't be causing weight gain. Did you drink soda? That does have sodium in it and can cause water retention. I really don't think eating junk type foods will make you feel better. Even if you are used to eating whenever you are stressed out, it may make you feel worse at this point. Maybe you should visit your gyn or family doc to see what's going on. Have you ever tried using the natural yam progesterone cream before your period to see if it helps? Or even some Advil, which stops the prostoglandin inhibitors. ann < I did have spaghetti squash and alfredo sauce twice and spaghetti squash and spaghetti sauce 4 times . . .I've had roast 3 times green beans 4 times. ...Where I really feel I've eaten unhealthy I have had several drinks with artificial sweetners as well as some desserts made with splenda. This week is the first week I haven't eaten approved things I had 3 homemade real choc chip cookies I had 5 slices of apple studel bread toasted and 4 servings of homemade > bread pudding plus today about 4 oz of dark chocolate. But before the past 3 days I hadn't cheated even once. ... I know I should get back to eating right but tomorrow we are going out to eat for the first time in 5 weeks and I plan to have dessert and maybe a few things that aren't SBD approved but mostly I will eat baked meat and veggies. . I think if I have alittle of the rich chocolate dessert I will feel better. My plan is to be really good next week til Fri and then we are having a once a year Thanksgiving dinner at our church so I will let myself have some non approved things if I want to and then make up for it the next week. Guest guest
I just bought a brand of alfredo sauce It had 9 grams of fat 3 carbs and 1 sugar I used 1/4 of a cup of sauce and 1 cup of spaghetti squash. As far as the roast we used a tri tip roast that is very lean we even cut the excess fat off and although the rest of the family griped about no gravy in the roast we did make it with out the soup that time. I'm not concerned about the splenda for weight loss but for health reasons. I totally agree with when it comes to artificail sweetners I have heard alot of people who have all kinds of reactions to artificial sweetners II know somethng is wrong with me because I just don't act the way I have been this week. So it's either the sweetners or my thyroid or I'm going through menopause. Maybe a combination of several things along with being discouraged that this is just one more thing I have tried that's not working for me weight wise. I am going to see my Dr this next week. The wierd thing is I know my blood work shows I am getting to much thyroid now instead of not enough but if that's the case I should lose weight. I know the medication could be making me this way but I am terrified to lower it because I'm afraid I will gain weight. A few months ago I ran out and didn't take it for just 3 days and I gained 8 pounds. Interesting you mentioned the progesterone cream. I used to use it but since my blood work said I wasn't in menopause yet I quit taking it about a yeart ago. My mom had some and yesterday I used it because I felt so out of control and it did seem to help. I really appreciate all the support here. It's what is getting me through this. ann maryann127@...> wrote: Hi, How are you making your Alfredo sauce? Are you using a lowfat cut of roast? The Splenda shouldn't be causing weight gain.
