Guest guest
Good morning! I am new to SBD but not new to changing my eating lifestyle. I have been successfully living a low-carb life for the past 8 years. Over the course of this year I am finding it harder and harder to do. I feel like I am gaining...don't have a scale anymore....lol.... I am tasting things that I wouldn't normally taste! I need some input about how best to get started with the SBD way of life. Start with phase I...and just continue? After phase 1 I think I will have a hard reconciling myself to eating things that have been forbidden for the past 8 years. Looking for your input! Guest guest
Hi Judy!! I am just getting started on this also. I, as you, did the low carb diet for years and did great on it. When my husband and I were trying for your youngest child he didn't want me on low carb so I went to eating anything and did that for the past few years. My daughter is now almost 2 and I wanted to try something differant than the low carb that I was doing. The thing that you mention about eating forbidden foods hit home because I really loved my low carb way of life. I do consider any eating that is to work a way of life not a diet. Anyway... I think the part I like about this way of life vs the " low carb " Is that there really are good carbs and bad carbs and our body does need some good carbs to be healthy. One example is that on the low carb diets I would lose my hair. Seriously it would thin something terrable. I only joined this group a couple days ago but so far I love it. I think sometimes when our bodies stall or we can't lose it takes something differant to " jump start " our system again. I hope this little change is just want your body needs. Good luck to you!!
