Guest guest
South beach doesn't work like that. You don't stick with phase one for more than two weeks, you move into phase 2 now. Add in some different foods from the phase 2 list and also a few good carbs start getting added back in, but whenever you add a new food/ good carb wait 3 hours before eating anything else and pay attention to how you feel. If you are feeling hungry way before that three hour mark is up, then that probably isn't a good carb for you to have added, it's causing a craving and making you hungry to overeat, but now you know that isn't the food for you. It's quite normal on south beach to dump a lot of weight the first two weeks because you have so drastically changed your eating habits but that isn't realistic if you thought it would continue like that. Ask any doctor or fitness expert and they will tell you, a good weight loss amount for any program is really only 1 to 2 lbs a week maybe 3 to 4 but usually only 1 to 2. Try to remember you didn't gain the weight overnight and slow and steady to get it off is the way it stays off. --- vesmiria Vesmiria@...> wrote: > I lost 13 pounds my first 2 weeks on South Beach. Guest guest
You really need to move to phase II. I was on Phase I for over two weeks, and I also didn't lose much after the initial 2 weeks. I guess that's why the book says to only do Phase I for 2 weeks. Time to move to Phase II. ie (as soon as I moved to Phase II I dropped more weight.)
Guest guest
You may also be losing inches instead of pounds. Have you measured yourself ... arms, breast, waist, hips, between breast and waist, thighs, calves? Don't give up, but you really should move into phase 2, just do it slowly .. only one new addition at a time. Lani vesmiria Vesmiria@...> wrote: > I lost 13 pounds my first 2 weeks on South Beach.
