>If you put your mind to it, you CAN do it. In the end, it's all up to you.

is right. I was " sorta " doing SB at the same time I got my new treadmill.

I lost weight but the credit went to the 30 minutes a day on the tread rather

than the " sorta SB " . Then a couple weeks ago I tripped and twisted my knee,

which put the treadmill out of the question for a few weeks (it's almost healed

now) but I didn't want to gain back what I lost so I decided it was time to get

serious. I'm finishing my first honest SB week and feel great and have kept off

what I lost and lost 3 more lbs. I tried atkins in the past and felt really bad

on it, had problems with constipation and bad breath, on top of it, so quit.

I've had none of that with this one and... AND my husband, the 'meat & potato'

man has not said a word about the dinners and he's eating the same thing I am,

except more. He's a bean-pole so doesn't need to diet and I thought he might

complain. But the thing is... the food is good, so there is really nothing to

complain about. He gets his bread and an occasional potato. He eats his junk

food for lunch at work, out of my sight.

My only reservation is that a lot of the recipes require exotic ingredients that

aren't available in the boonies. I wish somebody would write a " Poor White Trash

Cooking " recipe book for SB. lol Our grocery stores here tend to be meat &

potato's, too. I've ordered the 30 minute cookbook which claims to be simple. I

hope so.

The best way to deal with the family is just not tell them they're on a diet.

Just serve dinner, make the SB dishes and add the carb dishes... the mac and

cheese or rice or potatoes or biscuits... you just don't eat them. And don't

make enough of those dishes to have left-overs to tempt you!

Well, I just wanted to say is right. It isn't really difficult once you

decide to do it.
