Guest guest
Hi Debra, I tell ya, I was also one of those lucky enough to be able to eat whatever and not gain weight - or at least not more than a few pounds. Then, I could drop like 6 pounds in a couple of days just by eating " light. " Ha - those days are gone. I know the wine had a HUGE impact on my weight (although it never had before). But the other factor I beleive was significant was that after I had my daughter, I immediately went back down to my pre- pregnancy weight (lower, even!), and then I nursed for 2 years. While nursing, I ate more than normal. After my daughter weaned herself, I kept eating " 3 squares a day " and added in the nightly wine. The combination of 1) not burning an extra 1000 calories a day from nursing but still eating as if I were, and 2) the wine (which is a high-calorie, refined carb) at night and viola ... an extra 20 pounds in a matter of a few months. Again, I still enjoy my wine, but only on Fridays and sometimes Saturday. It's made an enormous difference (20+ pounds in 6 months!). Keep us posted! ~karen > > Hi , > > I am also just starting the SBD. I found your post rather > interesting.
