I am new to this list. My son had eosinophilic gastroenteritis. He had

it from birth until around his 3rd birthday. He had a biopsy shortly

before his 3rd birthday which showed he was almost clear of it. We took

him off his medications, and he is doing fine. He had been on periactin

and zantac to begin with, then eventually just periactin. Now he is on

nothing and just has periodic visits with the gastro doctor to make sure

he is still fine. He has been off these meds since November and is

holding strong.

I have a few questions...

has anyone else heard of a child having speech delays or developmental

delays from this disorder? (as a result of tube feeding or anything?)

how was everyone else's children diagnosed?

Mine had blood tests and a biopsy for diagnosis
