Ammonia, in the form of urea is a natural componant of urine. The odor can be overpowering in a dialysis center. Vickie
Guest guest
Then would it be correct to assume that this ammonia is a good sign, in that toxins are being eliminated? Or have I missed something? Guest guest
As far as urine goes, the only good bacteria is a dead bacteria. Your urinary tract is normally sterile, unlike your alimentary tract. Urea is different from ammmonia. Your liver turns ammonia into urea to make it less toxic. Ammonia is highly toxic, urea less so. If your liver is not doing well you may have elevated ammonia levels systemically. These lead to feeling very miserable and having neurological problems. Andy . .. . . . . . .. .. . I am taking milk thistle plus other vits and minerals to support my liver but if you recall I am taking high doses of zinc and molybednum to get the copper out. Could this be a possible reason? I also have a problem with yeasts which I have been dealing with since last December taking Propolis, Grapefruit Seed Extract and Caprylic Acid every day. Guest guest
Re: Ammonia smell Hi Pam: Todays your lucky day. Was holding back on this post to see what it was going to arouse in responce. If it were me. I'd take Olive Leaf extract and detox everything from your body at one time. I take it every day. Go to these sites: www.access1.net/moonfire/olive1.htm or www.alphazee.com/olive-leaf/olea.html cheapest place to buy it. do the search on the upper left hand box on the opening page for " olive leaf extract " . www.botanichealth.com Sure this info will be greatly appreciated. Good health to you. Walt > As far as urine goes, the only good bacteria is a dead bacteria. I was very sick (besides all the Hg stuff - more on that when time permits) when I had H Pylori (had to kill it off 3 times before it seems gone for good, now) and, since I had some bleeding lesions - I'm sure some ammonia got into my system one way or the other. Guest guest
Hey Sheila! I think you are right about the die-off. Her stools have also been dark green as of late. Last night I read that this is also a sign of die-off. We are at the 3 month mark with the kids. So does this mean the yeast is kicking up a big fight again? Is that what the 3 month regression is . . . die-off all over again? Should I pull back to the intro for a couple days, and add food slowly again? As far as carbs go, she can tolerate pearsauce, limited amounts of applesauce, spinach, zucchini, squash (various kinds). We are testing bananas again. She prefers the meat to the carbs, but I began making her eat a larger amount of carbs after the ammonia smell in case it was related to excessive meat-eating. You may not have to do intro (you could if you want) but basic foods cooke dfruit and cooked veggies might be easier than raw. > As far as carbs go, she can tolerate pearsauce, limited amounts of applesauce, spinach, zucchini, squash (various kinds). (add, heavy metal toxicity, gastrointestinal problems) Since she is getting legal carbs having green stool I'd hazard a guess that the smell is far likelier to be die off from the " 3 month flare/regression " than acidosis etc.. Epsom salt baths and/or activated charcoal may help with the die off symptoms. Sheila
