I also have knots or lumps under the skin that are not visible from the

surface. They are about the size of a lentil and spaced an inch or so apart

in all directions on my abdomen only. When I flex my abdominal muscles to

create resistance, I can really feel the lumps.

Before I was diagnosed with Mercury March 2001, I ask a plastic surgeon and a

dermatologist what they thought about the knots. The plastic surgeon said

that it was not anything that he could take care of with liposuction and the

dermatologist was convinced that his new technique would take care of it. I

just wanted to know what they thought as I was formerly a power lifter with a

very low percentage of body fat. I have never been overweight until three

years ago when I gain 20+ pounds that all seem to be in my abdomen.

Reasonable medical questions such as why did I so quickly gain this much

weight all in one area when I have not changed my regimented eating, running

and workout schedule for the past 25 years was answered with the phase that I

hear often . . things change when you get older. The other standard

answer of . . . here take more Prozac, couldn't apply.

,

I have numerous subcutaneous lumps which several doctors and

dermatologists claimed were nonspecific fatty deposits. Mine are visible

on the surface. One is not soft and one even looks as if it has become

vascularize, which concerns me, naturally. I have one on the lower arm,

one on the side of my hip and two on the thigh. Some of them do become

tender.

My statements to docs about this not being normal has not met with any

intelligent responses from them.

I, too, suspect there is a connection to our mercury toxicity.

Hi ,

I am mercury toxic and have bumps somewhat like you describe. My skin is itchy

and then when I scratch, the bumps appear almost like a rash or dermatitis. ND

says this is toxicity coming out in the skin. I have not begun detoxing yet so

don't know if they will go. I have had them for about 4 months.

DMSA,9 rounds ALA, hair mercury from 7ppm to 4ppm in 4 months).

I have under my skin small nodules that feel like cellulitis (I am

not completely sure) and which I haven't seen in other people I know.

These nodules are not visible but only felt when moving a finger

lightly over the skin. They are present in most parts of my body but

not on the really lean parts (neck, hands, feet, lower arms etc.).

I have read that mercury toxicity can cause " subcutaneous nodules "

('Metal-Free' manual and various citations in Usenet groups). After

having done serious dietary detox I am pretty sure this must be

caused by trapped toxins (which cellulitis is also). 2 naturopaths

have also said so to me.

Does anybody have this or knows about it?

Has it happened to anybody that these dissapear after chelation?

Mine seem to become slightly smaller over time even though it is

difficult to judge as they swell and shrink with water balance

changes.

Hi :

I believe I have had what you describe. I could feel these tiny nodules (which

were not visible) when I squeezed my earlobes. They would change in size over

periods of time, but never went away. I know I had them for over the past

fifteen years.

A related issue, was a " cyst " that I had on my back. It started out small and

the doctor said that I could just wait and see if it goes away or I could remove

it. Well it started to increase in size and so I elected for surgery. It was

removed more than fourteen years ago but I still remember the doctor asking if I

wanted to see it and then plunking it down into a metal pan right in front of

me. It was a white ball the size of a large macadamia nut (can you guess that

I'm from Hawaii?) It was biopsied and found to be benign. All my doctor could

tell me was that they don't know what causes it but it just " happens " to some

people. Ironically, this saying was repeated to me numerous times for the

various medical ailments that I suffered through over the years.

Less than a year later another cyst began to form on my back. It was almost like

a big mosquito bite that wouldn't go away. This time the same doctor told me to

just watch it--I believe because my insurance coverage changed to an HMO. It was

very close to the surface and became inflammed. Well it began to erupt so I just

put warm compresses and squeezed it and it was sort of like popping a very large

pimple. White stuff came out. It was kind of red for awhile but later healed

completely. Of course the doctor scolded me.

Well, it has been about 8 months since I have had all amalgams removed,

including one under a gold crown. My headaches and tinnitus cleared up rather

quickly and I am slowly getting better in other areas. I am following Andy

Cutler's chelation protocol--he is my guiding light. Your posting reminded me to

feel my earlobes and surprise, I can barely feel any nodules--they are greatly

reduced! I will add this to my list of indications that I am on the road to

recovery.

To everyone's health,

Lance

--- This reminds me of the " cyst " that I had developed in the very

center of my forehead when I was about 17...(I am 45) This small

cyst was just an annoying small " bump " for many years...until 3 years

ago, when it suddenly increased in size (it stuck out about 3 inches

from my forehead) and became very inflamed and painful. My daughters

said I looked like a Unicorn! The only way I could hide it at all

was to cut my hair into bangs and brush them over it.

I went to a dermatologist. He injected " something " into it...I was

to return to have it surgically removed the next week. The next day,

it seemed to be coming to a " head " ...so I began applying pressure,

and the thing " exploded " all over the bathroom mirror, white lumpy

pus, then brown, then red. The dermatologist was surprised when I

told him and said he had never seen anything like this, and thought

that the " lump " would return...it has not returned, but now I have

a " dent " in my forehead instead of a " bump. " ......:~)

After learning what I have about Amalgams and Hg toxicity, I

now believe there is a connection, as this bump originally " appeared "

around the time I had some Amalgams put in. I have 16 Amalgams.
