I do know that there is some controversy over this test as to it's validity. Excuse my ignorance, but what is an IGG allergy test? What does the acronym stand for? Guest guest
Hi , I know it is confusing. For me too. I still don't understand these tests and what they mean. I did find the following web page that does give a definition of some of it. If you click on the highlighted words there are other pages.....Hope this helps. Guest guest
- When AJ was 18 months and failing to thrive and no one had a clue, we had IgG testing done. I know it is controversial, but it was a starting point for us. Up to then, she had only tested positive to dairy. She tested positive to 22 foods by IgG testing, some common-banana, beef, corn, some not so common-alfalfa, zucchini to name a few. We eliminated it all and saw great improvement. We had not gotten her on Neocate at this point yet or gotten her scoped. I knew we were going in the right direction, eliminating foods. Good luck. If you don't mind me asking, is your doc ordering the tests? We went thru a lab in florida and the labs docs ordered the test. It cost $1000 and insurance didn't cover it. I did it a few years later and my doc ordered it. Insurance still didn't cover it though. Phyllis
