The FDA has a lawbook/policy manual regarding the use of EDTA. The

book may be read online by typing in CDER . It tells how much EDTA

is allowed in shampoos (allowed in parts-per-million only), foods

(allowed in parts-per-million only in designated foods) and as a

preservative in vitamin supplements (only allowed in parts-per-

million as well). What this means is this: EDTA in ANY form unless

specifically stated in the CDER manual by the FDA or as a

prescription medication, is ILLEGAL. If you do not believe me, call

your local DEA or FDA Agency or State Pharmacy Board and ask them if

the 500mg daily EDTA dose in KelateMax or DetoxMax makes it a

prescription item. Ask them if those products are illegal. They will

tell you that they are illegal and they will want to know the

address and phone number of the company because they will proceed

aggressively to close it down forever. Illegal to the DEA or FDA is

Illegal, no shades of grey. People that do illegal things also have

a tendency to neglect other BIG details as well. They are into

deception & sales only. Please do your Doctors a favor, let them

know that they could lose their licenses selling illegally

manufactured drugs out of their offices. Have them check with their

State Pharmacy Boards as well to find out for themselves. To

reiterate: ALL EDTA in any form is a prescription drug by United

States FDA/DEA Laws, unless as approved specifically as a

food/cosmetic additive in a specific designated food/cosmetic and

the amounrs even them are maximumally allowed only in parts-per-

million and even then according to FDA/DEA permits only. So if you

find a supplement sold on the internet that has EDTA in it, it is

illegal for the doctor, illegal to sell, and even illegal for you to

have in your home. That includes KelateMax, DetoxMax, Gordon's,

Karl's and all others.
