I went to the doctor today to get more " script for drugs " and told her that I'd gotten my fillings out and was doing better. First thing she asked me, " Is your tinnitus better? " It is, but I'll be happier when it is gone. It is just a low roar now. On the heart, I was going through a site near the one Moria posted today and read for quite a while regarding autism and mercury toxicity. It seems that heart palpitations occur in those children. After my first child my mercury must have really moved around and my heart began to be a horrible problem. I had a racing heart after the first fillings (more than 10) were placed at 19 and that is how I got into a teaching hospital, where they dismissed the illness, which as we can now all see took me up to age 50. One night literally in the middle of the night, my heartbeat began to go to 200 and then back down to 80 while in bed doing nothing. I finally had to take Xanax to cope with that, and some of the other problems from mercury toxicity, such as not being able to move my diaphram well enough to breathe. Smooth muscle tissue is one of the targets of mercury. That is all I know about that, except I have lived it. I suspect that something cellular happens to smooth muscle but I cannot say what. Andy's book mentions heart problems and for that I suggest CoQ10 and Magnesium. Sometimes I also use 5HTP. If the bp is very low and you are also dehydrated and not vasoconstricting well, you might try some licorice in capsules. It helps fill the left ventricle and makes the heart stop feeling like an explosive device. Hopkins gave me " Ceralyte " and that helped with rehydration a little. The stuff is sold by company of the same name and contains nothing that bothered me. Also, trisalts (need script from an alternative physician) or Alkaseltzer Gold (OTC) can help a racing heart, particularly if it is due to some food or chemical reaction which of course is originally caused by the mercury in the body, and the wierd stuff it does to us. If I eat something that bothers my heart I find that Xanax will knock me out and it seems to relax smooth muscle. SJ

He has told me to mix them into water and sip them throughout the day. It is probably the same thing as above. Also, alkaseltzer gold can be used in a similar fashion. I'll have to " research " why tri-salts work, what they do, etc. by contacting the pharmacy that compounds them. SJ
