I managed to stay awake till 2am and watch the TLC Program on Medical

Detectives called Meat the Enemy.

I believe it was a repeat because I recalled some of it from before. It

mainly dealt with victims of nvCJD and it relation to BSE. Brown was

on it and a Dr Ironside gving their impression of nvCJD. They showed

actual people with the disease and did talk to families. Last night while

waiting for the show I was at the BSE Inquiry reading the statements from

these families such heartbreak. Most were misdiagnosed in the beginning

with depression and were offered no real support. Most weren't even told

of their official diagnosis with the media finding out before them.

I have now started on sending TLC letters to see if they can do a follow up

on this story with the inclusion of classical CJD, hopefully getting

reference to Voice. I want people to know they don't have to go thru this

alone, there are people who understand the pain and anguish and can give

guidance/support to them.
