My child had this by the time he was 4 months old, and he was over it around

3 years old. If I can help, let me know.

I am 19 and have had EG since 3 grade - as early as we

know. I was told that I will have it for life but as I

get older - 25 and up - It should start going into

remission at times. Kind of like cancer. You never get

rid of EG it just goes unnoticed as you get older.

Thats what I was told. I hope its true because I can't

wait till my 25 birthday! it will be a wonderful life

with out EG. Hope this helps.

My son was put on Gastrocrom and it did absolutely nothing for him. He is on

Elemental formula and very high doses of Steroids. There is a new medication

called Budesonide. It is not supposed to have any side effects and works just

as well as the steroids do. The only problem is that it is found only in

Canada. There are ways you can get it though.

[eosinophilic gastroenteritis] e.g

can someone tell me can if you can deal with e.g. without steroid treatment

and the j tube?? I really need some anwers before Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANY

TYPE OF INPUT will be greatly appreciated. Are there any more meds besides

gastrocrom? We are already on that, and elimination diet.

Thanks

I heard pregnancy can make EG worse for women? Has

anyone heard anytning about this? I also heard that

you cannot take gastrocrom while pregnant because they

do not know the effect it has on the child. Gastrocrom

has been a lifesaver to me. If anyone knows anything

please let me know! Thanks so much.
