Sue,

I made the same mistake after I finished induction, I thought I would stay on

induction levels and keep the weight coming off fast, it doesn't work, it

will stall you. I added fat and about 5-10 more carbs a day and went back to

losing again, not as fast though, about a pound a week. You can't expect to

lose as fast much as you did the 1st 2 weeks, as with any diet, you start to

kinda level off and lose slower. I hope this helps!! :o)

But yesterday was my last day of induction...I hadn't even gotten into OWL

Also, has anyone experienced leg cramps? The book said night leg cramps, but

I'm having them all day long. And finally, where can you find the latest

posts? Digest 648 is the last that shows up, yet I've received emails from

new posts. Am I having a blond moment???

Sue,

Leg cramps are a sign of low potassium, get a supplement, and as for the

digest, maybe if you hit reload or refresh on your browser. Sorry I can't

help you more on the fat thing, maybe some one else could help???

Sue --

Are you taking vitamins? On this woe it's essential to take supplements. I

was taking scads of vitamins before I started this woe, so my list of vits

might be a bit different from other folks, though I would be happy to post it

if someone thinks it might be helpful.

The short list for leg cramps is potassium and calcium. Be careful with

potassium, it also regulate cardiac rhythms and such so too much or too

little can be a problem. I think Dr. A has a new-ish book regarding

vitamins, if you're looking for a source. You might also try

mothernature.com; there's a dandy vitamin page on that site.

Hope this helps.

I'm taking a mega multi, plus Flax seed oil, and a mag, pot, calcium combo.

I already have heart palps, so I wouldn't notice the difference! Do you

happen to know what is considered a daily requirement for pottasium?

Sue,

At a web site I just found yesterday, I don't know if you got that e-mail

yesterday morn with all the links in it, but it says there 1500-2000. Also it

maybe that you have too much potassium, If you already have heart palps,

maybe you should go to the Dr and get advice. It is a simple blood test to

check it??

That is great!!!!

How long have you been on the diet/how long has it taken you to lose this

much?

I am just looking for some inspiration. Talked to lady last night from

Wisconsin who has lost 95 lb. since Sept of 1998. Her cholesterol dropped

from 304 to 116 in 3 months. These stories give me a lot of hope and

determination.

Hi Sue - I used to get terrible leg cramps too. My doctor suggested

additional calcium and magnesium and it worked like a charm! I take two

500calcium with D and one 250magnesium tabs. Hope this helps! Kay in Idaho

Hi Cyn! I've been on the diet since Jan 99. My cholesterol has stayed

about the same, but I've always had good numbers. Trigl- 73, col-137,HDL-51,

LDL-71 and the Ratio is 2.69. I was taken off of my high blood pressure

medicine last June after years of being a slave to the pills! Of course now

I am popping all these vitamins, but that is ok...I feel so much better and

that is the most important thing.

A funny thing happened to me the other day. My DH and I went to a b-day

party for one of his co-workers. This was a big affair with lots of people

at a very up-scale eatery. A private room had been reserved and we were

really dressed up! (I had to go out and buy a great outfit and I have to

admit that I looked really good!) ANYWAY, when we walked in, one of Dave's

co-workers came up to talk to him, but just kept glancing at me with a

dismayed look on his face, and finally introduced himself to me! I laughed

so hard - he didn't recognize me and boy was he embarrassed....he said he
