Guest guest
I want to thank each one of you that chose me to represent you at the WHO Consultation on Caring for Patients and Hospital Infection in relation to Human Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies. It is an honor for me personally and an answer to the promise I made to my mother who died of CJD. I promised her that I would make her death mean something. This is certainly the greatest opportunity i've had. I want each and every one of you who have lost loved ones to CJD that I will represent not only my mother but each of your loved ones who have succumbed to this tragic disease. If okay I would like to take the petition with me and share with the conference some of the issues each of you have experienced. Speaking of the petition, I recently sent a copy to Lynne Sehulster at CDC. She is currently writing guidelines for Infection Control related to CJD in the United States. She and I have been working on an audio conference for health professionals that will be aired in March, in fact the same time as the Geneva conference. I will be contacting you and letting you know what will be covered at the conference. If you want me to share anything specific please let me know. Thank you again for the honor and privilege of representing you and your loved ones. Marie
