Guest guest
This sounds like a really good option for most EE patients. Thanks for not leaving out us EGers. *** sorry this does not seem to be an option or treatment yet for EG*** I have been meaning to write to say that my blood levels have resolved with the reintroduction of Gastrochrom. I know it does not work for everyone and I sure wish we knew why, but my levels went from WBC of 17.9 last month to 12.5 this month and the EOS from 3000 to 600. It was a relief to see them drop back into near normal ranges again.... So for me at least it does seem to lower the peripheral EOS.......... Still wondering why I seem to have problems in Dec and Jan. Not much change in diet and not many pollens around to cause problems... Wonder if it could be something to do with the cold or using heat...??? I learned something last week that you all may know, but I didn't so will share it and hope I was not the only one ignorant of this.......When I went to the Allergist, he redid my scratch testing for foods. I was not reacting like before. (some new ones) The reactions were much less and some of the minor ones were not reacting at all. I had not known he was going to do this so was still on Allegra. That apparently was the reason for the lesser response. The conclusion that I draw from this is that if Allegra affects the skin reaction it should also be blocking internal responses to allergens. I know that I don't get sinus headaches often anymore......... He drew blood to send off for IGE and IGH, or what ever it is called. He told me but I can't remember right now. He did say Rast testing for something... I am really anxious to find out how those compare with the scratch tests if at all...... I have also gone over my scratch list and find that I scratch allergic to a lot of meat proteins, Milk Products, and Grains. Does there seem to be any pattern of allergies among this group??? Or do we all react to different things??? I know there is a great deal of individuality among us, from infant to adult, but was just wondering if there were some similarities??? Hope everyone is surviving this dreadful season of Illnesses that are going around. I think that the Y2K bug had nothing to do with computers, but everything to do with people.........
