Guest guest
Hi, I just wanted to write a update on Miriam. She has been on the steroids now a week ( she is starting to swell up so much already she looks so fat). On monday we went in the hospital and they started with rice for 2 days today they gave her chicken. She has been complaining on and off that her tummy hurts she gets kvetchy and I know it bothers her. She also would be doing something aadn then hold her tummy and say it hurts. How do I know if these pains are real and not just for attention. Does anyone else have stomache pain while on the prednisone. She is taking 30mg a day. I had a girl sleeping with her tonight and I got a call that she woke up hysterical wanting mommy of course I couldn't go so my husband went, there goes one normal night of sleep for him. They are going to send her home on Friday and we return with her on Sunday. when you did this experiment with steroids.Did you start all food at one time or did you do it slowly like they are doing for her. Has anyone ever had a child who has a total aversion to food and will not try adn learn to swallow. My Yisroel will be 2 in 2 weeks and he will not put any food in his mouth so we can see his swallowing he has absolutely no desire for food at all and I took him to 2 different people and so far have had no luck. He can not go on nursing his whole life. and we won't know if he has what Miriam has until he starts to swallow and eat food we know definelty that he has alot of allergies and asthma. Does anyone have any advice on how to convince a very clever 2 year old to eat please let me know. I have to try and get some shut eye before I spend they day at the hospital tomorrow. Shana ( mom to Miriam 3 1/2 EG, food allergies peanuts, soy, wheat and all legumes, NG tube, Yisroel , 23 months, food allergies, asthma, swallowing problems, Tehilla 7 jealous )

If yes, could you make a big opening in a nipple and put thicked milk, or applejuice, pudding or something like that in it? It might be think enough to make a difference.
