Guest guest
, That was me Shana Elias my e-mail address is selias@... I really appreciate it. Miriam is back to the diarreah all the time now. even though she is on the steroids. Anytime I try something new she seems to revert back to diarreaha. When I was by Dr.Sampson he said that baking powder and baking soda were safe b/c it has no protein in it . I made a pita recipe and cake recipe using rice flour and apple juice concentrate with baking soda and or baking powder and she just went back to the diarreah and stomache aches.Has anyone elese had any problems with this before. Phyllis by the way after I showed Miriam's doctor those pictures of Yisroel's stomache that I sent you he all of a sudden wants to see him. My problem now is the insuranse doesn't want to pay for it. I'm fighting that now. Guest guest
HI , The recipe for the cake is 1 cup of rice flour, 1/3 cup apple juice concentrate( with that it is very sweet) 1/3 cup apple sauce, 1/8 tsp baking soda and a 1/2 cup oil( I used canola) mix well and bake about 1/2 an hour . It is very sweet and she liked it ( unfortunately her stomache didn't ) I am trying all different things its hard when you only have 3 things to work with(rice applesauce and chicken). THE PITA: is 1 cup rice flour 1cup baby rice cereal 2 cup pototoe flour ( if he can't have that you can maybe try with out it an d just add more flour and cereal, 1 table spoon of sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 packet of baking powder 1 1/2 cups of luke warm water. MIx well form into balls and flatten it out into round circles and bake on highest setting for about 5 minutes on each side (or till brown) I altered the recipe because Miriam can't have yeast or vinegar but this way it turns out fine and she liked having some type of bread and she was much fuller (but unfortunately she started the diarreaha and stomache aches so I am going to try the recipe with out the baking powder next time. If I come up with anything else that turns out decent I'll let you know Shana [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Steroids.... > > > > > > > > > > > I was going to give a list of side effect of Steroids to somebody on the > > > list and I lost the email. Guest guest
Shana- Any luck with the insurance company? Can you submit the pics to them. A picture is worth a thousand words and those pics, maybe 2000. Good luck. Phyllis
