Guest guest
I had a great deal of time to think the past two days (uh, OH) while away from my PC. I made a couple decisions for the Watch site, I think everyone is going to like this arrangement. I find that I need advisors on the Watch site to help me in decision making matters. This does NOT mean that I do not want the opinions of all the CJD Watch subscribers/MEMBERS. They are all important to the sites growth. However, when we have so many differing opinions, we need a committee to make the final decision on any given opinion/subject. Also, I need help in coordinating the State Contacts. I have decided that I will appoint two National Assistant Coordinators (NAC) to help the State Contacts get started in the right direction. If we find we need more than two, we can appoint them. I want to definitely be a part of the construction of the State contacts goals for each state. However, I need help in guidelines while building the site, and etc... This is going to prevent us from " flailing " out there........ I have written the Goals we should be striving for in CJD Watch, if anyone can add to the list, be my guest! I am open to all suggestions: 1. Public Awareness of CJD 2. Mandatory Reporting in each state 3. Contacting/Documenting CJD Victims in each County of each State 4. More Research for CJD 5. A CURE FOR CJD!!!! I am not playing favorites in choosing this committee, I based the decision on the fact that I can, if necessary, quickly get in touch with these members during the day and evening. I must have those who are online checking their mail several times a day. This is a tentative list, it will not be conclusive until each person responds in the positive (or negative) as to whether they will accept the invitation to be a Committee member, or a NAC. Here are the ones I am now asking to be my Advisory Committee. Robin Lynette (for Australia) a (for Canada) Liz DebbieOney For the NAC positions, I would like BevAlso, and Dolly..... This is an important position, and will require working with the State coordnators to help them set up their guidelines and working very closely with the State coordinators. If there are problems, I want to know about them, so I would like a brief on the problems at least once a week... I DO want to be involved in this and I DO want the State Contacts to contact me if they need my help... Bev and Dolly will do fine jobs, and I will be waiting for their answers as to whether they will accept - in the affirmative or negative I hope they will accept!!! Thanks everyone!! You all deserve great big hugs for your efforts to fight for CJD research!! Barbara
