Guest guest
Steph - I would like a copy of the article!! If you scan the article, you can email me a copy. I have a cable modem, so size doesn't matter. If you don't have a scanner, you can send me a copy of the article, and I can scan it for you. (If you want me to :-)
Guest guest
I would probably scan it in two pages.... or more, depending on how big it is. I would be more than happy to scan it right away!
Guest guest
MIchelle, My scanner isnt working so that might be a really good idea. I wonder how you would scan something as large as an entire page of the paper? It's much bigger than 81/2 x 11. S. Guest guest
Hi Steph, I enjoyed the article very much and would love to have a copy to give to people that don't really quite understand EE. I have a couple of questions... Do you ever wonder why the severity of the disease is so different from kid to kid? Even within your own household. Any explanations? Has anyone ever taken a very low dose of steroids, say 5mg a day every other day without starting at the super high dose and weaning down from there. We have decided to not subject Dan to any further treatment until after graduation if we can. The last 6 months have been very tough for him. I am allowing him to eat anything he wants for the time being. NO outward symptoms at the present time. Mom to Dan 18 yrs old EE and a heck of a baseball pitcher. > > __________________________________________________ > >
Guest guest
, We all had symptoms as the prednisone dose is lowered. we've tried just starting a lower doses too to no avail. I also haven't posted to this list, what is happening with me, at least I dont think i have... i've become intolerant to the Elecare even ON prednisone, cramping, diarrhea, etc... I had an appt with several doctors, nutritionist, stoma nurse, pharmacist at Univ of Virginia Hospital this morning. The decision being made now along with my allergist and Ross Pharmaceuticals is whether to put me on TPN while we try to figure out some other way to feed me. They drew a huge amount of labs today looking at every mineral and vitamin my body still has.. the outcome of those tests will determine just how quickly we have to make up our minds. a very disappointing day, all in all, but certainly not completely unexpected. Also, Killian has been having some trouble too. He's going to be scoped next week. Steph. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Steph, You are under SOOOOOOOOOO much stress! Your body is bound to still react to that, right? This is probably SOOO STUPID of me to ask, but is there any chance that the cramping and diarrhea has anything to do with that? You must have other symptoms that tell you it isn't the stress because you've been through this before, but stress is SO hard on one's body. Just a thought. I don't know anything about anything where this stuff is concerned. It seems the more I find out the more confused I get. Just praying everyday that Luke outgrows it! His problem, far more minor at this point than yours, has really taken it's toll on me! Guest guest
Kathy, I'm sure we have much different perspectives on what a lot of stress is.. STRESS to me was when my entire family was suffering simultaneously. Having them all tube-fed and most of them feeling better is wonderful to me. My problems only occur with feeds, if I dont take formula, I dont have problems. The timing is consistently only with feeds. Steph. Guest guest
Miriam got down to 2.5 mg everyother day. We just took her off the prednisone and she is starting up with allergic symptoms none of the doctors here have any expereince with EG so all they tell me is put her back on prednisone . I very much don't want to. Shana (mom to Miriam 4 EG, Yisroel 2 1/2 possible EG, language delays, Tehilla 8 ADHD) Re: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] story > > > Hi Steph, > I enjoyed the article very much and would love to have a copy to give to people > that don't really quite understand EE. > > I have a couple of questions...
