Guest guest Posted August 28, 1999 Report Share Posted August 28, 1999 Dawn, Their qualifications are that the child must be facing a life threatening illness and not be expected to reach the age of 18. Kody is 100% TPN dependent and also carries the diagnosis of chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction. Our local pediatrician got involved and got the whole thing approved for us. He started the ball rolling just before Kody's last bleeding crisis and it looked like he might have been too late, but NOT SO, as Kody pulled through AGAIN. It was neat how easy everything was.
