Guest guest
I was just wondering how many of us have put together a timeline of our loved one's illness. My mother died in December and since then my father and my sisters and I have been working together to get an accurate story of my mother's illness, from her first symptoms months before, down to her last days. My father typed up the initial timeline, which we have all read and revised. Dolly, is there a place to post timelines on the Voice? Also, are there any doctors who would be interested in a copy? I was also thinking everyone who is coming to the conference in June should bring copies of their timeline to give to the speakers. I'm sure they'd have an interest. I know writing a timeline is very hard, but the benefits outweighs the pain. we gave a copy of our timeline to a newspaper doing an article on CJD. I think it helped the reporter get a better grasp of the disease. For those of you having a hard time, I suggest a starting point of trying to get your loved one's medical records. Also, for those of you who asked about the flyer that we had out at our mother, I will email you a copy this weekend. I have the file at home and I'm at work now. === It's never too late to be what you might have been - Elliott
