Guest guest
Dan would get food stuck in his esophagus from time to time. When that happened he was in severe pain and on two occasions he aspirated the food into his lungs. A very scary situation. When food was stuck he could not pass even saliva. We would have to go to the hospital and they would start by IV a muscle relaxant. Get copies of all his tests. Forget the skin testing. Get more Rast testing done. The problem is with the proteins in foods. Start keeping track of what he eats and try to correlate it with any symptoms, problems or pain. We had all Dan's biopsies sent to The Mayo Clinic to a Dr that has treated and written papers on IEE. The results just came in this week. And the diagnosis of IEE was confirmed. Dan had more Rast testing this week. To me the solution now is to heal his esophagus. I am working diligently to get all traces of peanuts out of his diet. Guest guest
If anyone is looking for a site to get info on the different IGE panels that can be run or info on which foods to test try... http://www.allergyimmuno.com/schedof.htm Also wanted to say that we finally got back the pathology report from the Mayo Clinic which confirms the IEE diagnosis. Nothing new to add, but at least we can be sure. Dan's Mom IEE 17 years old
