Guest guest
I am sitting here, ready to explode with questions about the dissension going on around us within the group. I have read and re read the emails of the day in question, and I cannot for the life of me find a reason for the dissension displayed - for all to view. We are all adults, we all have been through a great deal of pain, and are still in the healing process - most of us are at any rate. To insult another is the epitome of lack of self-control, and the height of insult to all attempting to receive comfort from a group proclaiming that is their motive for existence. Public humiliation, in the guise of an opinion, in my opinion has no place in a support group. I thought we were all working for the same things: help during the grieving process, public awareness, and hopefully a cure for the horrid disease that kills those whom we love. I hope this is still the goal for CJD Voice. It would be so terrible for CJD Voice to gain the reputation of being an " attack dog " on members, especially when one is actually attempting to help others. My only reason for being associated with CJD Voice is to help in building public awareness RE: to HELP in getting more attention to this disease. If the CJD Faces project or the CJD Watch project in any way has contributed to the dissension, I will unsubscribe to CJD Voice in a flat second, as I do not want to be the cause of any problems. HOWEVER, I will continue to work on those projects, as I believe they are great forums for public awareness and more research.
