Guest guest
CJD is the AIDS for the '90s and coming soon, the new millenium! It may be scary for pathologists to do autopsies, but when our mother died, we informed both the pathologist (who was her attending neurologist) and the funeral home director about the danger. They both took extreme precautions, like they would an AIDS patient. They didn't give us a hard time at all, and didn't question our desire for an autopsy. We gave the CJD information pulled from the web for them to read and learn. in California === It's never too late to be what you might have been - Elliott --- " Terry S. Guest guest
- Like with your Mother, the Colorado University Med Center took 'extreme' care with an isolated autopsy (no one but my Dad in the room and all the staff were in shielded protective clothing). They knew the risks, but took precautions and did THEIR work. Shar
