I am sorry your having so much trouble. Maybe you can post your menu for a

couple days and some of the " experts " on the list can pick it apart and

figure something out. Have you lost any inches? This is definately my WOL, it

has kept my blood sugars down nice and low! I may not get off of the 157 mark

but at least I will live long and see my kids grow and become sucessful, I

guess that is my motivation for stay on this WOL. You may want to try a

fat fast, have you tried that yet, it is for people who are very resisitant.

It is in the book, page 236-238. This might be something that will get you

into ketosis. I know it takes a week for me to get back into it, Also, the

hormones from the BC shot could be a culprit too?? Just some stuff to think

about. Hope I helped!! Keep up the fight!! You can do it!

You CAN do this! :) I read in the book that hormones will slow down your

progress. Also, I saw by your numbers that you are only trying to lose 20

pounds. Generally, the last 20 pounds will come off the slowest. I have

been doing this for 2 months (hormone-impaired too....LOL) and have just

reached the 20 pound mark, so I'm not dropping it in lightning speed myself.

Have you tried some of the stall busters, like and all-meat day or the fat

fast? Those have helped some on the list kind of get into gear. And,

there are tons of recipes floating around to make it more bearable. Did you

get the post for scalloped cauliflower? I made it on Saturday, and it was

soooo good! Anyway, I'm rambling now..... just hope you'll give this

w.o.e a little longer. YOU CAN DO IT!!! And, of course, we're here for

you. :)

Hi, everyone. I took the last train to Lurkville, but I need to get back into

the swing of things.

I've been on this WOE for 5 weeks now. I've allowed myself one big fat cheat

day, but other than that, I've been true blue faithful. I've lost 2 pounds.

And that was during my first two weeks. Since then, nothing.

I've been at an induction level of carbs since I started -- anything more

immediately put me out of ketosis. I think I'm just one of the unlucky ones

whose body is especially sensitive to carbs. I gave up the caffeine. Didn't

budge. Gave up the daily Atkins bar -- no change. Even gave up the SF Jello!

Nada. Tried more carbs, less carbs, going off plan, exercising more, exercising

less...you name it.

During my Induction, I had a pretty easy time getting into ketosis -- and

staying there. Not anymore. After my two week induction period, I went to the

doctor for my Depo-Provera injection. That's birth control that is delivered

via injection every three months. Since then, I can't get back into ketosis at

all -- I got nothing but a wet stick.

I'm frustrated and ready to give up. Could use some encouragement today. I'm

trying SO hard, and I keep telling myself that if I just stay the course, I'll

be rewarded, but it's so hard to resist my cravings when I'm not being rewarded

for being good. Right now, if I am to stay on this program, I think I must

focus on accepting this as a WOL, and just stop getting on the scales. Right

now my weekly weigh-ins aren't encouraging me to continue.

Sorry this post is so long, but I know that if anyone can encourage me and help

me through this, it's you guys. Thanks....

yes julie keep it up. Even if you don't lose right

away , you will feel so good. I have only lost 10

pound since august 2 but I'm still trying. Good luck
