Guest guest
I would just like to know a little about eg. My nephew was diagnosed with this yesterday.(9/16/99), after several weeks of testing. It all started with swelling in the feet and legs, they kept telling he was loosing protein somewhere in the gi tract. cat scans, upper gi, and several tests showed nothing, this past monday they did the light down into the stomach and found this cluster of grapes was how it was descrebed to us by the doctor, it was biopsied and the results were in yesterday. We were just proud to know that it was not cancer, which he thought it might have been. They will be doing allergy test on him in the next few weeks, then probably start him on a high dose of prednisone (6months). Do you think this will take care of the problem? They also told us that his protein was being absorbed through this cluster before it went through the digestive system which was causing the swelling. Could you send me a little more info on this? Is this a reoccuring problem?
Guest guest
Predision can be a great drug, but it has many terrible side effects. It causes puffiness in the face, weight gain, acne, moodiness - which in me was pretty bad. I could be crying one minute, smiling the next! LEts see, if hes not done growing it may stunt his growth. it did me. It causes premature closure of the growth plates. You will either eat alot or eat very little. Its got some crazy stuff with it. It has always helped me though. I have never been on it 6 mths stright. More like 2 months off and on. There should be alot on the internet on predision and what it does. Some people swear to never take it again, I on the other hand will take it in a minute. Hey, I can't get any taller! ashley __________________________________________________
