Guest guest
Sheryl, I went to AARP last year -- right up to Mr. Deets. They were not interested. I wanted them to lobby (they are a huge influential lobby) for more funds for CJD..............Pat
Guest guest
Sheryl: I wish we could say that CJD strikes only senior citizens, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. The Center for Disease Control in Atlanta seems to be expert at putting out this type of propaganda, but in the research of CJD cases, at least here in Texas, the cases are hitting people in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Guest guest
Sheryl Thank you for your thoughts about increasing the level of awareness about cjd. I would like to join in this effort once I have more time when my mother's situation is resolved. I am convinced that there is a great need for public and professional education about this horrible disease. I think we need to get a major health writer to do a pulitzer prize winning story about the disease and its consequences. Please keep me informed of what you are doing.
