Guest guest
Our 12 yr old son, who was dx with eg in January and has since been treated with steroids, gastrocrom, prilosec and a hos of other meds is still in incapacitating pain. He hasnt been to school since january 16. our drs think we should do a laparoscopy to see if there is something they are missing. Everything else test wise has been done. Has anyone else been faced with this decision and if so what did you do? Also, I am not so sure the doctors are that familiar with the diagnosis so we are all having a hard time understanding his pain. Is this how eg presents? And if so, does it, the pain, ever lighten up? Also has anyone else ever had doctors try to relate this back to your child's stress level? Our doctor we saw for the first time yesterday said to my son as he sat crying on my lap that she thought he looked anxious. I was amazed. I told her that after 2 months of constant pain, I would expect a little anxiety. I know I feel anxious and powerless. Thanks for any help. Guest guest
My daughter was only 5 months old when this all started, but she cried for two years straight before we got a diagnosis and on the right track. Has he been taken off food yet? That was first relief any of us got. She stopped crying finally and MY STRESS LEVELS went down. If we see her take a turn for the worse or even think things are not going right with her, the first thing we do is cut out the food. And the fact that she is so willing to give up food, tells us we are on the right track.
